Tech employment in Spain has grown by 45.8% since 2015, increasing its share of total employment to 6.88%, according to the latest Tech Employment Map. This growth outpaces overall employment, which rose by 25.1%, and is largely concentrated in Catalonia and Madrid, which account for half of new jobs.
The report also highlights key challenges, including Spain’s position in the EU ranking (17th), low female representation (32.7%), and correlations between tech employment, Next Generation funds and municipal income levels.
