Space regulation and security in Europe: two key webinars you shouldn’t miss

This September, two important online events will take place focused on the future legal and strategic frameworks shaping European space activities. Organized by networks of law firms specialized in aerospace, both sessions offer valuable insight into the major changes ahead.

On September 15 (12:30–14:00 CEST), a webinar will introduce the recently published draft of the EU Space Act, presented by the European Commission. This regulation seeks to create a unified legal framework for space operations and services across the EU. The session will explore its potential impact on businesses, startups, and SMEs, with a focus on obligations, scope, and implementation timelines.

The second event will be held on September 26 (16:30 CEST) as part of the IUROPE Septemberfest 2025. Under the title “The Dynamic of Change”, it will feature a keynote by Timo Pesonen, EU Director-General for Defence Industry and Space, presenting the new SAFE (Security Action for Europe) regulation. This emergency initiative aims to reinforce European defence preparedness through funding and support to SMEs within the industry.
