Santi Ballesté, President of AeroS, receives the Cristòfol Juandó Award at Festa al Cel 2026

Santi Ballesté, President of AeroS, received the Cristòfol Juandó Award during Festa al Cel 2026, held in Salou. The award recognised his career, long-standing involvement and contribution to the world of aviation.
 

The award was presented during the Festa al Cel closing ceremony, presided over by the Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, and highlighted the work carried out by Santi Ballesté and AeroS to promote the aviation sector.
 

During the ceremony, the Josep Canudas Award was also presented to Mariano Gasparet Romero, ENAIRE’s Director of Communications, who accepted it on behalf of José Antonio Santano Clavero, Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility and President of the ENAIRE Foundation.
 

The closing ceremony also recognised Commander Juan Bengoechea on the occasion of his final display as an Eurofighter display pilot, as well as the involvement of the Spanish Air and Space Force, the Spanish Army, and the institutions and professionals who contributed to making this edition possible.
 

A new edition of Festa al Cel in Salou
 

Salou once again turned its eyes to the sky for a new edition of Festa al Cel, which brought thousands of people to the coastline. Over more than four hours, spectators enjoyed an extensive programme of displays featuring military and civilian aircraft, helicopters, historic aircraft, emergency services and aerobatic demonstrations.
 

One of the highlights was the Eurofighter Typhoon display, flown by Commander Juan Bengoechea in his final performance as a display pilot. The event also attracted considerable interest from aviation professionals and enthusiasts, with 107 spotters and around sixty accredited journalists.
 

Festa al Cel was made possible by months of preparation and coordination between the organisers, public institutions, armed forces, emergency services, sponsors, partners and volunteers.
 

For AeroS, the Cristòfol Juandó Award presented to Santi Ballesté represented recognition of the dedication and commitment to the aviation sector and the promotion of aviation culture, a mission that the association continues to pursue in order to bring the world of aviation closer to society.
