The city of Barcelona will host the New Space Economy Congress 2025 on July 3 and 4, a key event that will bring together government leaders, tech companies, and aerospace sector representatives to discuss the future of the space economy in Catalonia and Europe. This international gathering is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the national space ecosystem and establish Catalonia as a key player in the emerging space economy.
The congress will address strategic issues such as public-private collaboration in space projects, the development of satellite technologies, sustainability in space, and talent development in the sector. It will also highlight initiatives to promote investment in aerospace startups and drive innovation in communications, Earth observation, and space-data-based services.
Among the participants are agencies such as the Spanish Space Agency, the European Space Agency (ESA), and leading companies like Airbus, Open Cosmos, Indra Espacio and Pangea Aerospace, along with research centers and universities from Catalonia and beyond.
