On May 26, 2025, Madrid will host the event “Technological Priorities for the Commercial Aviation of the Future”, organized by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and the Spanish Aerospace Platform (PAE). The event will bring together representatives from large companies, tech SMEs, research centers, universities, and public institutions linked to the aerospace sector.
The workshop will serve as a meeting point to discuss the main challenges that commercial aviation will face in the coming years, as well as the strategic technologies needed to drive a profound transformation of the sector. Topics will include industrial process redesign, integration of intelligent systems, advances in sustainable propulsion solutions, and opportunities for public-private collaboration.
The session will also address the necessary conditions to accelerate innovation, strengthen industrial competitiveness, and take advantage of available national and European funding mechanisms. The active involvement of all links in the value chain, from manufacturers and suppliers to knowledge agents, will highlight the importance of collaborative approaches to tackle technological and environmental challenges.
The event will reflect the commitment of the Spanish aerospace ecosystem to building a more efficient, digital, and environmentally respectful aviation model, reinforcing its strategic role in the European context.
