Gutmar consolidates a strategic agreement with GDELS-SBS for the development of dual-use technologies.
The Catalan industrial sector once again positions itself at the forefront of innovation in defense and dual-use technologies through the strategic collaboration agreement between Gutmar and GDELS – Santa Bárbara Sistemas, aimed at jointly developing high-value technological projects.
The partnership, framed within Spain’s Industrial and Technological Plan for Security and Defense, was formalized following a technical meeting at Gutmar’s facilities in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The agreement establishes a joint working framework that will enable progress on technical solutions with both civil and military applications and includes the creation in Catalonia of a center of excellence specialized in dual-use projects, from which new industrial and engineering capabilities will be promoted.
Based on this agreement, both companies plan to collaborate on workstreams requiring complementary capabilities and contributing to advances in systems, components and processes linked to dual-use applications. This collaboration aligns with the sector’s growing trend toward projects that integrate diverse technological and production profiles and reinforces the involvement of Catalonia’s industrial ecosystem in high-complexity initiatives.
