Defense has become one of the key strategic areas for technology, advanced engineering, and specialized talent. In this context, the associated company BETWEEN Group is strengthening its position in the defense and aerospace sector through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indra to explore collaboration opportunities within the Special Defense Modernization Programs (PEM), promoted by the Ministry of Defense.
The agreement is part of the 19 strategic partnerships announced by Indra during the IV Meeting of the National Defense Industry Ecosystem, held in Barcelona, where the company presented its Catalonia Plan aimed at reinforcing the region as a leading hub for defense, security, and space technology and industry.
In this context, BETWEEN Group further strengthens its position as a specialized technology partner in strategic sectors.
“Our key strength lies in delivering turnkey projects in highly complex technological environments, combining advanced engineering, specialized talent, and multidisciplinary teams across areas such as mission-critical software, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, platform digitalization, and systems engineering. This integrated approach enables us to deliver secure, robust, and high-value solutions, and reinforces our role in a key sector for the modernization of the Armed Forces and the country’s industrial development,” said Pau Guarro, CEO of BETWEEN Group.
During the event, Indra shared figures reflecting the scale of its planned growth in Catalonia: the creation of 1,500 new jobs by 2027, a target of reaching 5,000 professionals in the region, and a forecast to increase its revenue in Catalonia to €550 million.
For BETWEEN Group, this partnership represents an important step forward in its contribution to the defense and aerospace ecosystem. It also highlights the role of specialized companies as key players in an industrial value chain expected to grow significantly in the coming years, driven by technological sovereignty, strategic autonomy, and applied innovation.
