On October 9, AeroS and AENOR organized the workshop "EN9100 Series Certification: The Transition Path from ISO 9001 to EN9100 Series," a day aimed at industrial companies seeking to expand their reach into the aerospace sector and access the opportunities offered by a constantly growing market with high quality standards.
The session opened with a presentation by María Eugenia Fernandes Montilla, technical coordinator of the Aerospace Scheme and PECAL at AENOR, who explained in detail the keys to the transition from ISO 9001 to EN9100. Her presentation offered a clear guide to the transition process, explaining the specific steps, tangible benefits, and the most common mistakes to avoid. The workshop also delved into how EN9100 not only improves quality management and control processes but also opens the door to new business opportunities, allowing companies to be recognized as qualified suppliers within the aeronautical, space, and defense supply chain.
The event also included a testimony from Marcello Tognola, Director of PRECIMECAN SL, who shared his company's experience implementing the standard. His case demonstrated how the transition to EN9100 can transform an organization, opening doors to new markets and strategic alliances.
