On October 13, a delegation from the AeroS Executive Committee met in Madrid with Lieutenant General Miguel Ivorra Ruiz, Director General for Strategy and Innovation of the Defense Industry (DIGEID), in a meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Catalan industry and the Ministry of Defense.
During the session, AeroS presented the structure and capabilities of the Catalan ecosystem in aeronautics, space, and defense, highlighting its strong industrial base and the technological potential of its network of SMEs and start-ups. For its part, DIGEID outlined the main lines of action regarding defense industrial policy and technological innovation.
The exchange made it possible to identify various opportunities for collaboration in line with the Spanish Aerospace and Defense Security Strategy (ESAN 2025).
Finally, both parties agreed on the importance of showcasing AeroS’s business capabilities in the official ministerial catalogs, an official reference tool for the Ministry of Defense, NATO, the EU, and major contractors, which facilitates access to funding and participation in defense and space programs at the national and European levels.
