AeroS and the Spanish Ministry of Defence hosted a practical workshop on the European Defence Fund with a focus on the 2026 calls.

On 26 November, AeroS held the workshop “Practical Introduction to the EDF and Key Points for 2026”, a session designed to provide member companies and organizations with an operational overview of the European Defence Fund (EDF), one of the European Commission’s main instruments for boosting innovation, industrial cooperation and competitiveness in the defence sector.

The session was organized in collaboration with the Directorate General for Defence Industry Strategy and Innovation (DIGEID) and featured contributions from Paloma López Díez and Commander De Blas, National Focal Points (NFP) of the Spanish Ministry of Defence, who shared their firsthand experience in managing the program and supporting companies interested in participating.

The workshop covered the general functioning of the EDF and the role of the NFP, along with key aspects for preparing proposals: basic requirements, project types, consortia and essential participation criteria. Practical guidance and points of attention were also shared to facilitate access to the program in upcoming calls.
